Georgian Kitchen for 19th Century San Francisco Home

Traditional English Georgian design inspired this handcrafted and bespoke kitchen for a 19th century San Francisco home. The space now exudes old world charm, married with modern conveniences. We transformed the existing “falling apart” kitchen into a timeless, elegant and symmetrical space with tall paneled cabinets awash in a deep and dramatic Hague Blue (from Farrow and Ball), and adorned with brass fixtures. Classic details include a mantle shelf with a brass rail and a corner hutch, designed to look like a separate piece of furniture, with brass hinges and knobs crafted in the UK.

“In my work, I’m often inspired by homes of old; in this case going back almost 200 years and across the pond. Think of an old English farmhouse – an elegant rustic minimalist aesthetic with simple lines and beautiful colors, featuring thoughtfully designed casework and cabinetry” says Craig.
